The Chair was established on 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0August 2013. An MOU was signed between Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) representing IIUM with Perdana Global Peace Foundation (PGPF). The objectives of the Chair are to create greater awareness, promotion and advocacy of global peace including the protection of human rights and criminalization of war.<\/p><p>The Chair will provide a platform for expanding knowledge, practical experience and competencies for scholars and practitioners, involved in peace building and humanitarian assistance.
