The annual lecture continues to honour the enduring legacy of the late Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Datuk Ahmad bin Mohamed Ibrahim, a towering figure in Malaysian legal education and scholarship.<\/p><p>The prestigious event was graced by distinguished university leaders, members of the legal fraternity, academics, students, and representatives of the late Professor Ahmad Ibrahim\u2019s family. Among those present were YBhg. Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Hussain, President of IIUM, and YBhg. Dato\u2019 Haji Mohamad Ezri bin Haji Abdul Wahab, President of the Malaysian Bar. In his lecture entitled \u201cThe Evolving Legal Landscape: Tradition, Ethics and Technological Innovation,\u201d Dato\u2019 Mohamad Ezri explored the contemporary challenges facing the legal profession, highlighting the importance of balancing long-standing legal traditions and ethical principles with rapid technological advancements that are reshaping legal practice and access to justice.<\/p><p>A significant highlight of AIML 2026 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IIUM and the Malaysian Bar, marking a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening engagement in legal education, professional development, and scholarly initiatives. This was followed by the book launching and relaunching of the Law Majalla, reaffirming AIKOL\u2019s commitment to legal scholarship and academic discourse.<\/p><p>The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs, a photography session, an exhibition visit, and networking over refreshments.
