Audiology is the study of normal and disordered hearing and balance as both scientific and clinical profession. In the clinical profession, audiologists perform various types of assessment in order to diagnose any hearing or balance disorders. In addition to diagnosis of hearing and balance disorders, audiologists are also involved in preparing and performing individualised rehabilitation programmes to individuals with hearing and \/ or balance disorders. Sub-specialisation in Audiology include: Clinical Audiology, Educational Audiology, Paediatric Audiology, Dispensing Audiology, and Industrial\/ Military Audiology.   4. Accurately diagnose hearing loss and\/or related disorders based on the findings from the case history, clinical observation and audiological evaluation;<\/li>
  5. Devise and execute a management plan consistent with the patients and \/ or caregivers\u2018 needs;<\/li>
  6. Inculcate Islamic values and ethics in their practice;<\/li>
  7. Organize and manage hearing awareness and screening programmes;<\/li>
  8. Conduct research related to audiology under close supervision;<\/li>
  9. Effectively cooperate with colleagues and other professionals in ensuring provision of optimal hearing health care and creating a conducive working environment;<\/li>
  10. Utilise ICT for clinical or research purposes;<\/li>

      IIUM\u2019s Bachelor in Audiology degree program aims to develop future audiologists in order to fulfil the needs of the Malaysian and global health care industry.
