Since the establishment in 2017 among elderly and adults living in care homes, we found there were huge gaps on knowledge of the care takers on handling these vulnerable groups. This has led to poor oral health and general health of the residents and resulted in poor quality of life.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">In I DO CARE 1.0- we managed to give &#8220;smile&#8221; to some of the elderly. For I DO CARE 2.0 we focused more on educating the care takers as many of them are not properly trained as well as the turnover rate of the care takers are high.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">We started with face-to-face sharing sessions in October 2019 and continues to have online sharing sessions after COVID 19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Up until today, we have included KIRKHS, KOM, KOE, KON, KAHS for the continuous education sessions.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font: var(--font_8);font-style: normal;margin-bottom: 0px;font-size: 15px;line-height: 1.4em\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">In I DO CARE 2.0 also we have a sub project: Smile- a- tone under Dental SASMEC.
