tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"false\"><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">We can categorize the inbound mobility into three (3) major programs as follows:<\/span><\/h4><ul><li><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Physical Mobility.<\/span><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Virtual Mobility; and<\/span><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Edutourism Mobility.<\/span><\/h4><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University is delighted to welcome international exchange students from all over the world with the opportunity to gain quality education in Malaysia. The mobility program is an academic program organized by IIUM involving international students registered with overseas Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and is attended face-to-face and\/or online. It can be implemented on credited or non-credited. It also can be implemented in a short term of one (1) day or a minimum of four to eight (4-8) hours cumulatively to three (3) months and in a long term of more than three (3) months to twelve (12) months. The difference between physical and virtual is the former one involves immigration pass facilities, whereas the latter one does not.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Edutourism Mobility is a program under the Mobility program with a tourism activity by international students registered with the overseas HEIs visiting Malaysia, where the educational and learning process in IIUM is the largest contribution to their visit. This program involves the admission of international students to spend at least overnight in the country to participate in the Edutourism program at IIUM for a period of not less than one (1) day to six (6) months and involves immigration pass facilities.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">When the COVID-19 pandemic situation hit the world, the MOHE intensified the transformation of Mobility program implementation through Virtual Mobility, Blended Mobility and Hybrid Mobility programs.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">A Blended Mobility Program is a Mobility program where part of the program is run physically and partly online, attended by the same students at both physical and virtual sessions.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Whereas a Hybrid Mobility Program is a Mobility program that is attended by some of the students physically, and the rest of the students virtually at the same time.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">From the programs mentioned above, we can be further categorized into the following activities:<\/span><\/h4><ul><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">academic and research;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">student exchange;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">industry mobility;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">academic visit;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">summer\/winter course;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">cultural exchange;<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">industrial internship; and<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><li><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">other related activities.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In general, credited mobility programs may include academic and research, student exchange, industry mobility, summer\/winter courses, or industrial internship programs. The credited mobility program requires a minimum of at least one semester and a maximum of two semesters. For industrial internship program, requires at least 10 weeks duration. Non-credited programs may include academic visits, summer\/winter courses or cultural exchange. The non-credited mobility program requires a minimum of one (1) day and up to 90 days. For The virtual program, the minimum duration for the program must not be less than 8 hours in total.<\/span><\/h4><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-1612\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Outbound <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-1612\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-1612\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM offers the Student Exchange and Mobility program to expose our students so they can exchange, explore, and experience the world beyond their boundaries. Students can apply to participate in the program for an enriching experience that will enhance their personal and professional development. The outbound mobility program is available and is offered to IIUM students to be attached to any of our partner universities abroad for a period of less than a year. For The virtual program, the minimum duration for the program must not be less than 8 hours in total.<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Who is eligible to apply?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">All KOE Students (for Year 2 to Year 4 ONLY)<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Fees<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The outbound program described above is where a registered student of Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University is attached to a partner university abroad for a period of less than a year. Students pay only their home institution\u2019s tuition fees. No additional tuition fees are imposed by the host institution. However, students are required to pay administrative fees, visa application fees, and other incidental fees. They also pay for their own living, accommodation and transport (flight and land) expenses.<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The outbound program may also be with non-partner HEIs. In this case, you need to pay the host institution\u2019s tuition fees. Other expenses such as accommodation, airfare, local logistics and personal expenses shall also be borne by individual students.<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Duration<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">1 semester or 2 semesters (MAX)<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Application Procedure<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">For further information, kindly contact the International Office for details at email: iceo@iium.edu.my<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Academic Requirements<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">It is the requirement of the Malaysian Ministry of Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) that all students pursuing higher education in Malaysian institutions must meet the entry requirements of the relevant programs. This requirement also covers study abroad students who plan to study short-term courses in the host institution.<\/span><\/h4><h4><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #0000ff\">Language Requirement<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">All courses in IIUM are conducted in English. It is a requirement that students who apply to study at IIUM must have a suitable level of English proficiency.
