In conjunction with the World Pathology Day celebration and Antibiotic Awareness Week, we are delightful to inform you that the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department  in collaboration with the Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Team, Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre@IIUM will be organizing  

PATHOLOGY DAY AND ANTIBIOTIC AWARENESS MINI CARNIVAL 2023

Scheduled as follows:

1) Day 1 (Pathology Day & Antibiotics Awareness Mini Carnival 2023)

Date: 9 Nov 2023 (Tuesday)

Time: 8 am – 5 pm

Venue: Gallery Area, Level G, SASMEC@IIUM.

2) Day 2 (Antibiotic Awareness Online Webinar “Antibiotics PK/PD in Pharmaceutical Care”)

Date: 10 Nov 2023 (Wednesday)

Time: 8 am- 9 am

Platform: Online Zoom

Let’s join us to explore the world of pathology and improve the judicious use of antibiotics!

1) Pathology Career Talk by

– Asst Prof Dr. Asmah Hanim Binti Hamdan (Anatomic Pathologist)

– Asst Prof Dr. Sarah Abdul Halim (Hematopathologist)

2) Antibiotic Awareness Talk “ Why do I need to  complete my antibiotics?”

–   Puan Liyana Hamiza Binti Abdul Karim (Senior Pharmacist HTAA).

3) Blood donation program “1 bag can save 3 lives, give blood and give life”

4) Booth exhibition and interactive games from various disciplines in Pathology and laboratory Medicine, Forensic and AMS team.

5) Pathology crossword puzzle and lab tour for secondary school students.

6) Antibiotic Awareness Webinar “Antibiotics PK/PD in Pharmaceutical Care”
