Location: <\/strong> Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM Kuantan<\/span><\/p>\n

The Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), proudly hosted students and staff from the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), Philippines, as part of a successful Inbound Mobility Program from 14th to 17th April 2025. The four-day engagement showcased the richness of IIUM’s academic, clinical, and technological landscape while fostering intercultural understanding and professional collaboration. The program began with a warm welcome ceremony held at IIUM Kuantan campus, officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamil Che Hasan, Dean of the Kulliyyah of Nursing. The event included a jamuan makan (welcoming feast) and ice-breaking session, where both institutions exchanged warm introductions and set the tone for a meaningful academic journey.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

On the second day, the UIC delegation toured the Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre (SASMEC @IIUM), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Siew Pien and Dr. Nurasikin Mohamad Shariff. The group visited the Halimatussaadiah Mother\u2019s Milk Centre (HMMC), the Shariah Department, and several wards, offering the guests a glimpse into IIUM\u2019s holistic approach to Islamic-compliant healthcare services. <\/span>The delegates joined the International Nursing and Midwifery Seminar on 16th April 2025, organized by the Department of Special Care Nursing. A notable moment was the presentation by Mr. Christian Joy Salas, Dean of UIC, on the topic \u201cMindfulness in Nursing\u201d<\/em>, which drew interest and admiration from fellow attendees. <\/span>In the afternoon, the visitors explored the Clinical Skills Centre, guided by Senior Nurse Officer Mdm Rusilawati Abd Rahman, where they experienced firsthand IIUM’s state-of-the-art simulation training environment. Later, they were welcomed into the BioBehavioral Laboratory, where Dr. Shidqiyyah Abdul Hamid introduced current research tools and techniques focusing on psychophysiological health studies in nursing.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The final day included an insightful tour of the ODL (Open and Distance Learning) Studio, facilitated by Br. Muhammad Farhan. The UIC team learned about the studio\u2019s history and development in supporting blended nursing education. A highlight of the day was the interactive podcast session, where students from both institutions exchanged views on nursing education and youth engagement in healthcare. <\/span>The Inbound Mobility Program concluded on a high note with heartfelt farewells and a strengthened sense of solidarity between IIUM and UIC. This initiative not only promoted academic and clinical collaboration but also underscored the value of cultural respect and shared global health goals.<\/span><\/p>
