The IIUM International Conference of Nursing 2023, held from July 12-13 at the Swiss-Belhotel in Kuantan, Malaysia, has concluded on a high note. The event, organized by the esteemed Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM, welcomed delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and Hong Kong.\u00a0<\/span>The conference, held under the theme “Future Global Direction in Nursing and Midwifery for Sustainable Healthcare Workforce,” aimed to chart a course towards a sustainable healthcare workforce on a global scale.<\/span><\/p>

Collaborators and co-hosts played a pivotal role in shaping the event. Noteworthy partners included SASMEC @IIUM, the Nursing Council of Public Institution of Higher Learning, the Malaysian Nurses Association (MNA), the Faculty of Nursing of Universitas Indonesia, KPJ Healthcare University, and Syedza Saintika, Indonesia. The event was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof Bin Apdal, underscoring the government’s commitment to advancing the nursing profession.<\/span><\/p>

The event successfully achieved its objectives, thanks to the insightful presentations by all speakers and the research contributions of total 76 presenters. Discussions spanned a wide array of topics vital to the nursing profession. From exploring cutting-edge healthcare technologies to formulating strategies for patient-centered care, participants engaged in forward-thinking dialogues that showcased the dynamism of the global nursing community.<\/span><\/p>

The conference’s resounding success is a testament to the collective commitment of the nursing community to advance the future of healthcare.
