Awards & Recognition
Congratulations to the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy in receiving the ‘Beautifying Garden of Knowledge & Virtue Award’ during Takrim Day 2023 for the outstanding efforts and creating bai’ah solehah to enhance educational experience in IIUM which is specially dedicated to IIUM Forest of ‘Ilm project. A special gratitude goes to the working committee members and Dayabersih Sdn. Bhd. staff for their immense efforts to this project.

Teaching and Learning Activities
IIUM Forest of ‘Ilm is currently serves as a living lab to support teaching, learning and research related to drug discovery from natural sources by researchers and students of the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy. The courses in Bachelor of Pharmacy programme that involve include PPPC 4251 Herbal Science and PPHK 4161 Final Year Research Project. It aims to expose the students with our nature’s heritages of indigenous plants which have potential as sources of drug or herbal medicine. For now, 84 plant species have been identified and labelled with QR code which link to their descriptions in IIUM Forest of ‘Ilm plant database. We are hoping that the forest will also benefit the campus as well as the university communities. Thus, we are warmly inviting more collaborations with other kulliyyahs to join this project as different expertise will contribute in developing the forest as a versatile living lab.
