The Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS) was one of the first two faculties to be established when the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) began operation in 1983. It started with the Department of Economics in 1983. The Department of Business Administration was subsequently established in 1984, followed by the Department of Accounting in 1987. Finally, the Department of Finance was established in 2001.
