Nor Alias a Professor of Instructional Technology and currently an Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia. She was graduated with a B Sc Physics and M Sc Physics from Indiana University, Bloomington and later pursued a Graduate Certificate in Open and Distance Learning (USQ, Australia) before her doctoral study in online learning. Her current research interest and activities are in the field of e-learning, open distance learning, learning design and design and development research(DDR). She has been awarded the Edu Tech Leadership Award (Higher Education) in 2019 and have recently been acknowledged as one of the Academic Icons by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (in conjunction with the National Academia Day).
