CONDITIONS FOR ATTENDING OVERSEAS CONFERENCE (MINISTRY GRANT)

The Grant Management Unit (GMU) is pleased to share the Conditions for Attending Overseas Conferences (Ministry Grant). This guideline outlines the essential requirements and restrictions related to overseas conference participation, including: 📍Eligibility of research projects and researchers, 📍Number of allowable overseas presentation trips, 📍Travel arrangements and funding conditions, and 📍Additional requirements such as potential networking and publication opportunities.

RMC ANNOUNCEMENT: APPLICATION FOR IIUM KNOWLEDGE CONTRIBUTION INCENTIVE (IKCI) FOR NON APC PUBLICATIONS

The Research Management Centre is pleased to announce that the University has approved incentive for researchers who publish in indexed journals that DO NOT require an Article Processing Charge (APC). Under this scheme, the first IIUM or corresponding author of each eligible publication will receive RM 250 per article as an incentive.

RMC Announcement : CALL FOR PROPOSAL FOR IIUM PREMIER RESEARCH FUNDING AWARD

Eligibility This fund applies to research project commencing on 1st January 2025 onwards with secured external funding as follows: • Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities: RM 500,000.00. A research project with external funding below RM 500,000.00 may be considered, subject to the approval of the Research Management Centre (RMC). • Science & Technology: RM 1,000,000.00. A research project with external funding below RM 1,000,000.00 may be considered, subject to the approval of the Research Management Centre (RMC). (h) Joint Project, Sponsored Research Funds managed by Funder and Research Sponsor In-Kind are not eligible. Application 1. Via RMS V2: https://rmsv2.iium.edu.my/auth/login 2. The intended impact of the research shall be aligned with the University MyRA 3. The project proposal shall have a clear statement of the problem to be solved 4. Application may include a maximum of five (5) co-researchers from IIUM who are experts in the field of study. 5. The budget shall be appropriate to meet the objectives of the project.
