Curriculum review site visit – Master of Education in TESL via coursework

1. A site visit for the Master of Education in TESL curriculum review by the external assessor, Prof. Dr. Raja Nor Safinas Raja Harun, was conducted on 24th September 2024. 2. The external assessor’s site visit for the curriculum review demonstrated solid progress. Overall, the curriculum is progressing well with constructive feedback for further enhancement.

Curriculum review site visit – Bachelor in Education Teaching Arabic as a Second Language

The site visit of B.Ed TASL curriculum review by the external assessor, Prof. Dr. Nik Mohd Rahimi Nik Yusoff from UKM. The remaining review process involves preparing the paper for the Academic Quality Assurance Committee (AQAC) Recommendation (Proposal for Revised Curriculum of the Bachelor of Education in Teaching Arabic as a Second Language Programme, MQA/10237). Unresolved issues include inconsistencies in KOED UG’s course percentage based on MQA’s Education programme standards (highlighted in DLL meeting no. 2/2024) and the reintroduction of three free elective courses, which need further discussion at higher KOED management levels or with other relevant Kulliyyahs.

Prof. Dr. Ismail Sheikh Ahmad was invited to speak at the workshop on “Qualitative Research Form Theory to Practice.” This workshop is highly productive, equipping participants with practical tools and strategies for applying qualitative research methods. Attendees were introduced to 13 qualitative templates.  The outcome included actionable techniques and templates that can be immediately applied in their ongoing research projects, fostering enhanced research quality and methodological consistency.
