Gombak, 7 September 2022. International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) enters a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF) to collaborate in academic activities such as training, research, supervision and public education. The Rector of IIUM, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak and Mr Kenny Ong, the Chairman of CMCF seal the agreement.
Tan Sri Dzulkifli welcomes the collaboration in an area that could be considered as the lifeline of the society in building the civilisation and preserving the intricate fabric of the society. Mr Kenny Ong in his speech seconds the opinion of Tan Sri Dzulkifli and shares the vision of CMCF to work with students during their tertiary education rather than trying to rectify their work perception and ethics when they have entered the communications and media industry.
The implementation of the MoU is to be discussed in earnest between AIKOL leads by Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, as the Dean; and CMCF leads by Pn Mediha Mahmood, as the Executive Director of CMCF. The discussion will involve the Media and Communications Research Group under AIKOL. Other centres in IIUM such as the Communications Department will also involve in the discussion.
