AIKOL CONTINUES THE CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH ICRC

Gombak, 28 November 2024. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) continues its close collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent (ICRC) in disseminating the important awareness and practice of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL).

In a remarkable showcase of advocacy skills, the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) team has emerged as the second runner-up at the 19th LAWASIA International Moot Competition (National Rounds) 2024, hosted at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur. This prestigious competition brought together 16 teams from 10 prominent law schools across Malaysia. Both IIUM teams demonstrated exceptional legal acumen and strategic prowess, with one team ultimately achieving the distinguished 2nd runner-up spot after advancing through a highly competitive semi-final stage.

AIKOL ENGAGES WITH THE FATONI UNIVERSITY AND THE COMMUNITY AT KAMPUNG NAM BO PATTANI

Pattani, 3 March 2024. A half-day seminar on Islamic law in Malaysia and Thailand: Between Ideals and Challenges in the Digital Era was held at the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Laws at Fatoni University (FTU), Pattani, on 29th February 2024. The seminar is a collaboration between the Department of Islamic Law, AIKOL and the Department of Shariah and Laws, Faculty of Islamic Studies, FTU. About 50 participants attended the seminar online and as well as at the seminar venue in FTU.

STUDENTS FROM RITSUMEIKAN UNIVERSITY EXPLORE THE LEGAL PLURALISM AND MULTI-CULTURISM OF MALAYSIA

In a post-pandemic revival of the mobility programme between Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) and Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, eleven students and two Professors of Ritsumeikan University, participate in an educational visit to Malaysia between 18th February to 21st February to see for themselves and to experience the legal pluralism and multi-culturalism in Malaysia.

IIUM MOOTERS EXCEL IN PHILIP C. JESSUP INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION (NATIONAL ROUND) 2024

Shah Alam, 4th March 2024. In a remarkable display of legal articulation, the International Islamic University Malaysia’s (IIUM) mooting team clinched the first runner-up position in the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (National Round) held in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The competition witnessed fierce competition from prominent law schools across the nation, culminating in a thrilling final round encounter between IIUM and UKM.
