
Gombak, 20 December 2024. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the Faculty of Law at the University of Oran2, Algeria hosted a significant webinar titled “The Case of Palestine Before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ): Challenges and Prospects”.
Prof. Omani Ismail, Vice Chancellor for External Relations and Cooperation University of Oran2, Algeria and Dr. Noor Shuhadawati Binti Mohamad Amin, Deputy Dean (Academic and Internationalisation), Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia, deliver the opening remarks.

Prof. Nasreddine Bousmaha, an expert in international law and Director of the Research Unit: State and Society at the University of Oran2, discusses Palestine’s case before the ICC and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Elshobake from AIKOL’s Civil Law Department, shares the challenges and prospects of Palestine’s case before the ICJ.

Key objectives of the webinar include fostering academic collaboration, promoting student engagement in international legal discussions, and enhancing understanding of international law’s role in the Palestinian struggle for justice.
