TWO LAW FACULTIES FROM SPAIN AND MALAYSIA AGREE TO ACCELARATE COLLABORATION IN TEACHING AND RESEARCH

Girona, Spain, 3 June 2022. The team of the Climate Change Policy and Law Centre (CCPLC) under the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) attended a capacity building series at the University of Girona, Spain. The study visit is funded under the Erasmus+ towards the establishment of the CCPLC. The coordinator of the Centre is Assoc Prof Dr Maizatun Mustafa.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of AIKOL and the team took the opportunity to discuss bilateral relations with the Assoc Prof Albert Ruda, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Girona and to explain the mission of the Kulliyyah as translated in its academic programmes.  Dr Wan Mohd Zulhafiz Wan Zuhairi, the Deputy Dean (Academic and Internationalisation), Assoc Prof Dr Sonny Zulhuda (Deputy Director of International Office), Assoc Prof Dr Maizatun Mustafa and Prof Dr Sharifah Zubaidah Syed Abdul Kader also joined the meeting.

Since relationship between the two faculties has established through the Erasmus + programme, the parties agree to cement it with a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate student and staff mobility, joint webinar and joint research.

Both Deans have the same opinion on the importance to further strengthen the relationship of these two law faculties from different continents to the betterment of the student and humanity.
