IIUM MOOT MOOTER EMERGED AS THE BEST ORALIST AND THE FIRST RUNNER UP FOR THE INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW MOOT COMPETITION 2022

Gombak. 29 November 2022. International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Malaysia in collaboration with Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) on 25th – 27th of November 2022 had jointly organized the prestigious International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Role Play and Moot Competition for the year 2022 (National Round) at International Islamic University Malaysia.

AIKOL TO PURSUE THE NEXUS BETWEEN COMPETITION AND DATA PROTECTION LAWS

Gombak, 21 October 2022. Studies on the interface between competition law and data protection law cannot be more emphasised in this digital economy. Both laws play unique and important roles in ensuring our economy grows while protecting consumers.
This is the commonality of the two legal regimes that was highlighted by the speakers in the Webinar under the title “the Interface between Competition and Data Protection Laws” held on Friday, 21 October 2022.

AIKOL SHARES THE WISH LIST WITH PETRONAS

Kuala Lumpur, 20 October 2022. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws meets with the Group Legal of PETRONAS at PETRONAS Twin Towers to chart future collaboration. This is a follow up to the Memorandum of Understanding between International Islamic University Malaysia and PETRONAS signed by Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak and Mr Maliki Kamal M Yasin, the former Senior Vice President, Group Legal of Petronas on 24th November 2020, and championed by AIKOL.

AIKOL INTENDS TO EXPAND THEIR SIMULATED LAW FIRM’S METHOD AS FOUND IN UITM

Shah Alam, 20 October 2022. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws continues to cement closer collaboration with other law schools. After visiting law schools in University Malaya and University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2019 before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Kulliyyah resumes visits to other law schools starting with the Faculty of Law, UiTM to exchange ideas on alumni relations management, legal aids services and implementation of simulated law firm’s method for the final year courses.
