CHALLENGES POSED BY CLIMATE CHANGE REQUIRE URGENT RESPONSE FROM VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS

Rajkot, India, 31 January 2023. The team of the Climate Change Policy and Law Centre (CCPLC) under the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) attends a project meeting at the Marwadi University, Rajkot, India. The project meeting and study visit are funded under the Erasmus+ towards the development of the postgraduate curricula on the climate change policy and law. The coordinator of the Centre is Assoc Prof Dr Maizatun Mustafa.

In welcoming the delegations from seven partner institutions, the Provost of Marwadi University, Prof Dr Sandeep Sancheti speak about the necessity to respect the environment that support the life in the planet. The development of the curricula for climate change policy and law is to ensure that the future policy makers and implementors are attuned to the urgent need to tackle the challenges of climate change and posses the skills in carrying out the responsibilities.

The Dean of the Law Faculty of Marwadi University, Dr Rhishikesh Dave, also welcomes the delegation.

Under Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, the special arm of the Kulliyyah, Harun M. Hashim Law Centre that provide the co-sharing facilities to the CCPLC.

CCPLC is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
