Today, amidst a sense of camaraderie and achievement, the Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM bid farewell with a heavy heart to our four Nursing students which also the participants of the Student Exchange Program from Universitas Brawijaya to the Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM. The exchange programme, which began on 4th October 2023, and lasted until 14th February 2024, concluded with a simple yet meaningful farewell ceremony marking the end of a transformative journey.
Under the guidance of Dr. Haliza Hasan from the Department of Special Care Nursing, Sr. Herdyana Lintang Sari, Sr. Laelatul Siti Nur Rohmah, Sr. Risma Dwi Rahmawati, and Br. Muhammad Andre Sugiharto immersed themselves in a rigorous academic curriculum. Throughout one semester, they diligently pursued five nursing courses offered by various departments of Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM, enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field.
The farewell ceremony, chaired by Dr. Abdul Alif Abdul Hamid, the Deputy Dean of Student Development and Community Engagement (DDSDCE), highlighted their dedication and experiences for the past 5 months. Dr. Abdul Alif expressed a massive gratitude on behalf of the Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM and presented them with tokens of appreciation, recognizing their crucial role in fostering cross-cultural exchange and academic excellence. Beyond academic pursuits, the participants actively engaged in various events and community outreach programs organised by the universities, reflecting a commitment to collaboration and service.
As they move forward in their academic and professional journeys, the KON community extends heartfelt wishes to Sr. Herdyana Lintang Sari, Sr. Laelatul Siti Nur Rohmah, Sr. Risma Dwi Rahmawati, and Br. Muhammad Andre Sugiharto. May they carry the lessons learned and friendships formed during their time at IIUM, continuing to inspire excellence and collaboration in all their endeavors.
This effort and occasion also marks the successful conclusion of a chapter in international academic exchange, demonstrating the transformative impact of cultural immersion and scholarly collaboration.
