Gombak, 3 January 2023. As the well-being students and staff are utmost important to Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, the Kulliyyah continues to provide facilities towards that end. In this context, the Kulliyyah open the Expressive Arts Therapy Room situated at Level 3 of the AIKOL building to be used by students and staff. The room offers a calm and soothing place to use creative expression to unwind.
According to the Kulliyyah, the IIUM Counselling & Career Services Centre, headed by the Acting Director, Bro Saiful Redza Mohamed and the AIKOL Mental Health & Well-being Committee, headed by Prof. Dr Mushera Bibi Ambaras Khan has contributed towards the successful opening of the room. Assoc Prof Dr Nora Mat Zin from Kulliyyah of Medicine and Assoc Prof Dr Haniza Rais from Kulliyyah of Education also share their expertise in establishing the therapy room.
The Kulliyyah also notes the modest amenities in the room and thus hope to receive contribution from donors to better furnish and equip the room. The assistance from student volunteers is also essential to the running of the room.
