We are thrilled to announce the remarkable success of Year 1 BSc Biomedical Science (GX13) outreach project ‘Let Me Tell You 5.0’ at Sek. Men. Agama Al-Maarif, Felda Bukit Goh, Kuantan Pahang on Saturday, 6th June 2024. This outreach is a part of assignment AHBS 1314, Physiology 2 under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radiah Abdul Ghani and Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhana Mamat. With the theme ‘Discover the wonder of human biology’, this project was dedicated to nurture an interest in science among secondary school students on specific topics such as respiratory system, reproductive system and integumentary system.
Various activities were implemented ; exhibitions, games, treasure hunt, art & science as well as simple demonstrations and experiments in a creative way. An interesting talk on the danger of smoking and vaping delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Norul Hernani Abdul Latif is also a part of harmful tobacco awareness which related to respiratory system.
Thanks to the collective efforts and dedication of our students, staff and school partner, the initiative has surpassed our expectations. Their hard work not only achieved the goals but also strengthened our ties with the school community and created lasting positive change. We are incredibly proud of the positive feedback we have received, and the tangible benefits experienced by those we aimed to support.
