Kulliyyah of Nursing Ibadah Camp 2024: A Success Story of Unity and Spiritual Growth
The Kulliyyah of Nursing (KON) successfully organised its Ibadah Camp 2024, themed “Da’wah: A Fundamental Obligation,” a two-day, one-night event held on the 5th and 6th of September 2024. Organised by the Department of Critical Care Nursing, the programme emphasised the role of da’wah as a fundamental duty for every Muslim, while fostering spiritual growth and strengthening unity among all academicians and staff members.
The camp commenced with the Pengurusan Jenazah course, delivered by Ustaz Ahmad Rifa’i bin Muhammad, imparting essential knowledge on Islamic funeral rites. This was followed by the recitation of Al-Mathurat and insightful Tilawah and Tafsir Al-Quran sessions led by Dr. Redzuan Nul Hakim Abdul Razak, during the night session which deepened participants’ understanding of the Quranic verse of Surah an-Nahl (125-128) and Surah Fussilat (30-36). The day concluded with a spiritually enlightening tazkirah by both Dr. Redzuan and Dr. Azmir Ahmad.
The second day began with a peaceful Qiamullail session led by Dr. Azmir Ahmad, followed by another enriching tazkirah delivered by Mr. Akmal Ibrahim. The role of Muslim in da’wah by good example were discussed nurturing participants’ spiritual connection, bringing a sense of tranquillity and reflection.
A key highlight was the “Unity Challenge: Breaking the Silos,” where participants were divided into six groups to compete in fun and exciting mini-games, aimed at promoting teamwork and building stronger bonds among KON staff members.
Alhamdulillah, the programme successfully concluded at 11:30 AM, leaving all participants spiritually invigorated. During the closing ceremony, the baton for organising the KON Ibadah Camp 2025 was passed to the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing.
Reflecting on the theme of this year’s camp, the Quran reminds us of the significance of da’wah:
“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.” (Surah An-Nahl, 16:125).
May this Ibadah Camp inspire all participants to continue their journey of da’wah and strengthen their bonds as a unified KON community, inshaAllah.
