The Kulliyyah of Nursing proudly announces the successful completion of the Inbound Student Mobility Programme for the final year nursing students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam. This comprehensive three-month programme has provided these aspiring future healthcare professionals with invaluable clinical experience and mentorship, setting a robust foundation for their future careers in nursing.

Throughout their stay, the students were immersed in a variety of clinical environments at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre (SASMEC @IIUM). They gained hands-on experience in several wards and departments, including the Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical Ward, Obstetric and Gynecology Wards, Operation Theatre, and many more. This diverse exposure allowed them to develop a well-rounded skill set, crucial for their professional growth and competence in the nursing field.

Additionally, the students engaged in mentoring sessions facilitated by the experienced lecturers of the Kulliyyah of Nursing. These sessions were instrumental in guiding the students through their clinical experiences, offering both academic support and professional advice. The mentorship not only enriched their learning journey but also fostered a supportive and nurturing environment, essential for their personal and professional development.

On 16th May 2024, in conjunction with the Professional Examination 2024 result announcement ceremony for our final year students, and Nurses Day Celebration; a heartfelt farewell ceremony was held for the twelve Universiti Brunei Darussalam students. This event was a fitting conclusion to their journey at IIUM, celebrating their achievements and the bonds formed during the programme. The ceremony was attended by the kulliyyah members, and final year students who gathered to honor the students’ hard work and dedication.

As we celebrate the completion of this programme, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to them. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have been truly commendable. We are confident that the knowledge and skills they have acquired during this programme will significantly contribute to their success in future endeavors. We wish them all the best as they embark on their nursing careers and continue to uphold the highest standards of healthcare. May they always remain compassionate caregivers and exemplary professionals in the field of nursing.
