Gombak, 17 October 2025 – Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), successfully organised a workshop titled “Navigating AI in the Law Classroom: A Practical Guide for Academicians” with guidance by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mira Kartiwi, Director of the Centre for Professional Development, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), IIUM. She shared practical insights on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies can be applied in legal education to enhance student engagement, support academic delivery, and improve overall learning outcomes.
Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to various AI tools and strategies that can be adopted responsibly within the teaching and learning process. Prof. Dr. Mira highlighted key considerations related to academic integrity, data ethics, and the importance of balancing technological innovation with IIUM’s values anchored in Tawhidic epistemology.
The event reflects AIKOL’s continuous efforts to upskill its academic community in line with the rapid digital transformation in higher education. It also supports the University’s mission of preparing future-ready graduates equipped with the necessary competencies to navigate evolving challenges in the legal field.
The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, providing an opportunity for academicians to discuss experiences, concerns, and prospects relating to AI integration in the law classroom.
