
Gombak, 1 October 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia, held its annual Takrim & Appreciation Day 2025 that honoured the achievements, dedication, and contributions of its academic and administrative community.
The programme was hosted by Dr. Shamsina Mohd Hanifa with welcoming remarks by the Dean of AIKOL, Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Abdul Ghani Azmi, underscored the significance of recognising the commitment of both staff and students in sustaining the Kulliyyah’s legacy of excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of awards in four categories: Administration Awards, Academic Staff Awards, Research & Publications Awards, and Community Engagement Awards. Among the notable recipients were:
- Prof. Dr. Farid Sufian Shuaib, Leadership Award recipient for his impactful tenure as Dean (2019–2025).
- Mdm. Shahnaz Zuriati Sabri, recognised with the Exemplary Academic Administrator Award.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Yazid Zul Kepli, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wan Noraini Mohd Salim, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Afridah Abas, recipients of the prestigious Murabbi Award.
- Prof. Dr. Najibah Mohd Zin, honoured with the Merit Award for Integration and Islamisation.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramizah Wan Muhammad (Youth Care Award), Prof. Dr. Noriah Ramli (Mental Health Advocator Award), and Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafur Hamid (Iqra Award) under the Community Engagement category.
- Sr. Siti Aishah Binti Aslah, recognised with the Creativity & Innovation Award for her leadership in AIKOL’s website development and official social media updates.
The ceremony also included a special tribute to retirees, acknowledging the decades-long service of distinguished academics such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noraini Md. Hashim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Husna Fauzi, Prof. Dr. Ashgar Ali Ali Mohamed, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abu Hassan with Madam Munawiza Juliana Binti Mohd Jasin, alongside dedicated administrative staff Sr. Maznah Abdul Aziz and Sr. Zahlinah Abdullah. Their collective service spanning over three decades was celebrated with heartfelt gratitude.

In addition, certificates of appreciation were presented to prominent contributors, including Prof. Toh Puan Dr. Nor Asiah Mohamed for establishing perpetual endowment funds for LLBS students and the Global Waqf Conference, Mr. Ibrahim Ismail for his continuous contributions to the Kulliyyah Trust Fund, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hisham Kamal for his tireless dedication to AIKOL’s mooting activities.
AIKOL Takrim & Appreciation Day 2025 was not only a celebration of service and achievement but also a reaffirmation of the Kulliyyah’s commitment to nurturing knowledge, integrity, and community engagement in line with the university’s mission.
