AIKOL CONDUCTS WORKSHOP ON EMBEDDING TAWHIDIC EPISTEMOLOGY IN COURSE DESIGN

Gombak, 28 August 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), organised a Workshop on Embedding Tawhidic Epistemology (TE) Elements in Course Outline to strengthen the integration of Islamic values and principles in legal education.

Held at the Al-Nawawi Conference Room, Level 4, the session ran from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and was attended by AIKOL academic staff committed to enhancing their course design with TE elements.

The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Majdah Binti Zawawi, Deputy Dean (Academic & Internationalisation), AIKOL, IIUM. She emphasised the importance of embedding Tawhidic Epistemology as a guiding framework to ensure that teaching and learning in law remains rooted in Islamic worldview while addressing contemporary legal challenges.

This initiative aligns with IIUM’s mission of harmonising Shariah and law and supports the Kulliyyah’s ongoing efforts to cultivate ethically responsible and intellectually grounded legal professionals.
