Kijal, Terengganu, 3 August 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), successfully organised its much-anticipated AIKOL Family Day 2025 from 2 to 3 August 2025 at the beautiful Awana Resort Kijal, Terengganu.
The two-day programme brought together AIKOL’s academic and administrative staff in a joyful and relaxing retreat aimed at promoting camaraderie, strengthening teamwork, and appreciating the contributions of all members of the Kulliyyah.
The event was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Majdah Zawawi, Deputy Dean (Academic and Internationalisation), who in her remarks emphasised the importance of fostering strong internal relationships within the workplace.
“AIKOL is more than just a centre for legal education — it is a family. Through events like this, we nurture the values of compassion, unity, and mutual respect that are at the heart of our mission,” she said.
The programme featured a variety of engaging activities including tele matches, beach games, family competitions, and a special appreciation dinner. Staff members and their families participated enthusiastically, creating lasting memories and meaningful connections. Special activities were also arranged for children, making the event inclusive and enjoyable for all age groups.
Set against the tranquil backdrop of Awana Kijal’s pristine coastline, the event provided the perfect opportunity for participants to unwind, recharge, and bond beyond the confines of their usual work environment.
