AIKOL INTENDS TO EXPAND THEIR SIMULATED LAW FIRM’S METHOD AS FOUND IN UITM

Shah Alam, 20 October 2022. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws continues to cement closer collaboration with other law schools. After visiting law schools in University Malaya and University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2019 before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Kulliyyah resumes visits to other law schools starting with the Faculty of Law, UiTM to exchange ideas on alumni relations management, legal aids services and implementation of simulated law firm’s method for the final year courses.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib acknowledges the hospitality extended by the Faculty of Law, UiTM in receiving the delegation from AIKOL. He expresses his wish for a closer working relationship between law schools in all areas including in curriculum development, methods in teaching and learning, research and community engagement for the benefit of students, the profession and the society.

Assoc Prof Dr Hartini Saripan, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, UiTM echoes the spirit of collaboration extended by Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib. She feels that such a collaboration will be advantageous to students and the industry.

Mr Muhammad Umar Abdul Razak, the Head of Law Programmes accompanies the delegate to the offices of the simulated law firms to see the facilities and the classes in action. The delegates note the extensive coverage of the simulation that could be emulated in AIKOL.
