Gombak, 8 December 2023. Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib congratulates AIKOL lecturers who personally provide financial assistance to students pursuing LLB (Shariah) (Hons).
Since the Bachelor of Laws (Shariah)(Hons) is a second degree which the students embark upon completion of their Bachelor of Laws (Hons), the students could not obtain financial assistance from the usual sources such as the PTPTN.
Thus, in the belief of the vision of AIKOL working towards just laws and just legal systems through the harmonisation of Shariah and civil law which is championed by balanced graduates, lecturers of AIKOL have come forward to offer financial assistance to thirteen students who are ready to delay their plan to join the legal profession in the public or private sectors.
The financial assistance programme is led by the Head of Islamic Law Department, Dr Uzaimah binti Ibrahim and coordinated by Assoc Prof Dr Badruddin Hj Ibrahim. Both of them convey the hope from the participating lecturers for the students to pursue their studies with all their hearts and to make AIKOL proud.
