Gombak, 4 September 2025 — The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), received a visit from representatives of ZICO Law, the ASEAN-focused law firm, to explore the possibility of establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kulliyyah.
The delegation from Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co, a member of the ZICO Law network, was led by Mr. Mohamad Izhar Mohamad Izham, Partner, accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Hilmy Bin Mohd Yazid, Associate, and Ms. Najihah binti Abu Bakar.
Representing AIKOL were Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Abdul Ghani Azmi (Dean), together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Yazid Bin Zul Kepli and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Mohd. Zulhafiz Bin Wan Zahari (Deputy Deans), as well as Mr. Ahmad Muslim Bin Rozlan (Head of the Legal Practice Department), Mr. Hamid Bin Jusoh, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Bin Kamarudin, and Ms. Siti Aishah Aslah from the Legal Practice Department (LPD).
The meeting centred on potential areas of collaboration, including academic exchanges, training, and opportunities for students and staff to engage with the legal profession through joint programmes. The proposed MoU is envisioned to further strengthen AIKOL’s linkages with the legal industry, in line with its commitment to preparing graduates for professional excellence.
The visit reflects AIKOL’s proactive approach in fostering partnerships with leading legal firms, ensuring that its students and academic community remain connected to the evolving landscape of legal practice in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
