Gombak, 23 July 2025. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), had the honour of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia on 23/07/2025, led by Prof. M. R. Andri Gunawan Wibisana, Wakil Dekan Bidang Pendidikan, Penelitian dan Kemahasiswaan (Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Student Affairs).

Tokyo, 6 April 2025. The Seventh IP & Innovation Researchers of Asia (IPIRA) Conference convened from April 4 to 6, 2025, at Waseda University’s Faculty of Law in Tokyo, Japan. This annual event, organised by the IPIRA Network, brought together over 300 participants—including academics, policymakers, and legal professionals—from across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas to engage in discussions on intellectual property (IP) and innovation. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (AIKOL) is one of the founding members of IPIRA, and hosted the first IPIRA congress at its campus in Kuala Lumpur in 2019.

Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the Department of Islamic Economics and Finance at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University collaborate in organising a webinar on Shari’ah Governance Systems in Islamic Financial Institutions: The Case of Malaysia and Turkiye.

Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the Faculty of Law at the University of Oran2, Algeria hosted a significant webinar titled “The Case of Palestine Before the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ): Challenges and Prospects”.

Shah Alam, 15 January 2025. International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) achieve remarkable feats at the Sixth Pertandingan Penghujahan Mahkamah Peringkat Kebangsaan 2025, hosted by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). This highly regarded competition, known for its intense intellectual challenges, receive participation from 12 teams across the nation, each competing for the coveted title. IIUM’s teams deliver exceptional performances, securing both the champion and first runner-up positions.

Kuala Lumpur, 15 October 2024. The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) mooting team proudly represents Malaysia at the prestigious 19th LAWASIA International Moot Competition (International Rounds) 2024, reaching the Quarter Finals and placing 5th overall out of 16 teams across Asia. Held at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), the competition featured the top national teams from their respective countries, showcasing the highest level of legal advocacy in the region.

The Jabatan Insolvensi Negeri Selangor, in collaboration with the IIUM Law Students’ Society, hosts the “Program Pemantapan Operasi Kebankrapan bagi Tahun 2024” under the guidance of Madam Siti Aishah Aslah, Course Coordinator of LAWS 4270 – Bankruptcy/Insolvency, Company Winding Up & Foreclosure.

Gombak, 7 March 2024. Datuk Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh, the Attorney-General of Malaysia, delivers the 20th Professor Emeritus Ahmad Ibrahim Memorial Lecture 2024 entitled “Beyond Prosecution: The Attorney-General’s Advisory Odyssey” at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Gombak, 22 January 2025. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia (AIKOL IIUM) together with MyAqsa Foundation and The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Malaysia represented by His Excellency Walid Abu Ali, work together to produce a report for the submission of evidence of atrocity crimes committed in the State of Palestine to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Port Dickson, 29th November 2024 – The Legal Practice Department of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) organised a visit to the Court Martial at the Court Martial Complex, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The visit begins with a presentation on the military justice system and, after that, observation of a court martial proceeding. This rare opportunity allows delegates to appreciate the unique set of court martial rules and protocols and how they intersect with civil court rules. AIKOL hopes to continue organising similar visits, to provide staff with a deeper understanding of various justice systems and facets of law enforcement.
