AIKOL TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION WITH UII IN POSTGRADUATE STUDIES AND RESEARCH

Gombak, 4 December 2023. The unceasing relationship between AIKOL and the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) will be further strengthened with the joint organisation of a postgraduate colloquium in 2024. UII represented by Dr Agus Triyanta, Prof Dr M. Syamsudin and Dr Bagya Agung Prabowo discuss in earnest the plan to assist postgraduate students in firming up their research through presentations and feedback during such a colloquium.

YA Ahadin bin Arinen, representing the Chief Syarie Judge of Sabah, welcomes the delegation from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws to the Sabah Department of Shariah Judiciary. He appreciates the efforts of scholars to expand cooperation in disseminating knowledge and skills.

AIKOL OFFERS CONTINUOUS LEGAL EDUCATION PROGRAMMES TO THE SABAH LAW SOCIETY

Kota Kinabalu, 27 September 2023. The Sabah Law Society welcomes cooperation with Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws in offering continuous legal education to advocates in the State. En Mohd Nazim Maduarin, the Vice-President of the Sabah Law Society, acknowledges the importance of legal practitioners to keep their knowledge up to date with such programmes. This view is echoed by Mr Jamadi Saleh, the Treasurer of the Society.

Assoc Prof Dr Zuraidah Hj Ali, the Director of Harun M. Hashim Law Centre, assures that the expertise from AIKOL will be able to delivers the need of the legal practitioners of current knowledge and trends.

AIKOL WISHES TO COLLABORATE WITH UMS TO OFFER PROFESSIONAL SHARIAH PROGRAMMES IN SABAH

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws expresses his admiration to the swiftness of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University Malaysia Sabah in gaining ground as an established faculty in spite of its young age. Thus, AIKOL does not hesitate in proposing for collaboration to deliver the Postgraduate Diploma in Shariah Legal Practice (DSLP) and the Postgraduate Diploma in Administration of Islamic Judiciary (DAIJ) for enthusiastic Shariah professionals in Sabah.

AIKOL EXPLORING POTENTIAL OF COLLABORATION WITH FACULTY OF LAW, UKM IN DEVELOPING ENDOWMENT’S INSTRUMENTS

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, as the Chairman of the Law Dean’s Council for Public Universities discusses with Assoc Prof Dr Jady @ Zaidi Hassim, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia accompanied by En Raja Noor Azri Raja Noor Afandi on the opportunities to improve financial sustainability using endowment’s instruments.

Dr Jady highlights the advantages of forming an endowment for law faculties – an idea welcomes by Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib. This idea would require more examination and refinement which will be done by the law schools.

Assoc Prof Dr Mohamad Asmadi Abdullah , the Deputy Dean (Student Development and Community Engagement) and Pn Ozaliyati Omar, the Deputy Director of AIKOL participate in the discussion.
