Gombak, 4 October 2022. Harun M. Hashim Law Centre, a strategic business unit under Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, trains civil service officers on regulations, ethics and integrity in four-day workshop for a second group of officers. This is the fourth series of collaboration between the Centre and the Malaysian Department of Public Service in providing competency building programmes to the officers.
Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the Rector of International Islamic University Malaysia delivers the premier slot on Sejahtera Leadership. He highlights the different between doing things right and doing the right things. He also underlines the significant differences between ‘leaders’ and ‘pemimpin’.
Professor Farid Sufian Shuaib in starting the discussion on regulations refers to the importance regulations over business and economic activities to ensure rights and distributional justice are accorded and achieved.
The participants work in group in case studies to identify appropriateness of deploying regulations and to use different strategies in implementing regulations.
