Background of research
Research on natural products is considered an important and effective approach providing a diverse source for drug discovery and development. The field of natural product research and pharmaceutical development of these products related to dentistry is evolving quickly.
This research group places special emphasis on the fundamental and applied biodiversity-based natural product research which aims to screen the natural products from medicinal plants with significant potential use as therapeutic agents and to elucidate the biosynthetic pathways important in phytotherapy.
This group aims to increase the success rate of new therapeutic moieties through innovative drug development from natural products.
