A word from Dean

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It is with deep humility and gratitude that I extend my warmest welcome to all staff, students, parents, and stakeholders of the Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). With a strong sense of duty and purpose, I seek your support and collaboration as we navigate the future together.

KICT stands at the forefront of integrating modern knowledge in ICT with Islamic and universal values, offering a range of academic programs in Computer Science, Information Technology, Library and Information Science, and Protective and Security Management. Our curriculum is designed not only to develop technical competence but also to nurture ethical, holistic, and globally-minded professionals, in line with KICT’s motto: “Codes to Heaven.”

As we embrace the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond, our next major thrust is the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Applied AI programs. These initiatives aim to position KICT as a pioneer in responsible and transformative AI, rooted in Islamic values and ethics.

In line with IIUM’s mission, our philosophy of education is guided by Tawhidic Epistemology — a worldview that sees all knowledge as unified under the Oneness of the Creator — and directed towards achieving Ummatic Excellence. We strive to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge that benefits all mankind and the earth, in both the physical and digital realms.

Let us move forward with sincerity, integrity, and excellence as we build and invent a future that honours our tradition while innovating for the global good. May Almighty guides our efforts and bless our journey together.
