The Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM, warmly welcomed a 65-member delegation from Institut Teknologi dan Kesehatan Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Barat (ITEKESMU KALBAR), Indonesia, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haryanto, Rector of ITEKESMU KALBAR, for a benchmarking visit and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony held at the KON Auditorium. The event began with an opening session and a welcoming address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamil Che Hasan, Dean of Kulliyyah of Nursing, who introduced the Kulliyyah’s vision and milestones in nurturing compassionate and competent nurses. The highlight of the day was the MoA signing between KON-IIUM and ITEKESMU KALBAR, symbolising a new milestone in strengthening academic and research collaboration between both institution.

Following the ceremony, a guest lecture and knowledge-sharing session featured distinguished speakers from Malaysia and Indonesia, covering themes such as healthcare access, insurance systems, and primary health integration. The visit concluded with a tour of the Kulliyyah’s facilities, including the Academic Office, Postgraduate Rooms, and Clinical Skills Centre. This strategic partnership aims to foster collaboration in nursing education, joint research, staff mobility, and professional development initiatives, contributing to the advancement of global nursing excellence.
