Gombak, 10th November 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), formally launched its Student Exchange Programme with the Faculty of Law, Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand, hosting distinguished staff and students for eight days of intensive academic and cultural exchange.

Gombak, 5th November 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), successfully hosted a comprehensive Study Visit and Law Forum led by delegates from Universitas Lancang Kuning (UNILAK), Indonesia. The half-day programme, held at the Nawawi Conference Hall, Level 4 AIKOL, served as a vibrant platform for academic exchange and fostered stronger bilateral ties between the two institutions

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 October 2025 – The Harun M. Hashim Law Centre was entrusted by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to organize a two-day Intensive Course on the Malaysian Legal System for the Embassy’s staff in Malaysia. The course aims to strengthen the Embassy’s capacity to assist Indonesian citizens (ICs) dealing with legal issues in the country.

The programme commenced at the Malaysian Bar Council in Kuala Lumpur with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Abdul Ghani Azmi, Dean of the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), IIUM; Mr. Balakrishna Balaravi Pillai, Deputy Chair of the Bar Council National Legal Aid and Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (YBGK) Committee; and Mr. Danang Waskito, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in Malaysia. They emphasised the importance of stronger bilateral cooperation in supporting Indonesian nationals who require legal assistance.

Gombak, 16 October 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), hosted an international symposium entitled “Israeli War in Gaza: Genocide Defying International Law” at the Nawawi Conference Hall, Level 4, AIKOL.

Dr. Mira Kartiwi, Director of the Centre for Professional Development, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), IIUM. She shared practical insights on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies can be applied in legal education to enhance student engagement, support academic delivery, and improve overall learning outcomes.

Gombak, 8 October 2025 – The Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), in collaboration with the IIUM Law Students’ Society (LAWSOC), successfully organised a heartfelt and inspiring talk on mental health titled “The Quiet Cry: Listening with Love, Healing with Presence.” The event attracting a large number of students and staff who came together to reflect on the importance of mental well-being.
