Department of Medical Surgical Nursing

The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing is the core department in Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and is responsible for the teaching and supervision of all adult nursing courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Department of Medical Surgical Nursing envisions being an international role model of excellence in nursing education and training while supporting Kulliyyah’s vision and mission through eleven (11) disciplines (cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, neurological, hemopoietic, musculoskeletal, genitourinary, special sense, and fundamental nursing). The department will ensure that high standards are maintained during training and practice in line with professional ethics of conduct. In accordance with the department’s mission, various backgrounds of department members have been recruited based on different disciplines since the establishment of the department in 2013.
