Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) through Open and Distance Learning is a comprehensive programme designed specifically for registered nurses who hold a nursing diploma.The primary aim of introducing this programme is to enable nurses to contemplate their role in enhancing the quality of nursing care for the community and Ummah, while also providing opportunities for career advancement. By pursuing the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) programme through ODL mode, nurses can enhance their qualifications without taking a break from their careers or requesting study leave. This flexible learning approach allows nurses to continue their professional development while fulfilling their responsibilities as practising nurses.

Programme Description

This is a three-year programme comprising eight semesters: six long semesters and two short semesters.

The programme is designed exclusively for registered nurses and provides flexible, career-friendly learning opportunities that empower nurses to advance professionally while continuing their clinical practice.

Admission Information

Entry Requirements

Diploma Route

Possess a Diploma in Nursing, be registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia (LJM), hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC), and have at least two years of working experience.
Meet the minimum English-language requirement of MUET Band 3. The MUET result must be valid within the stipulated five-year validity period.
Demonstrate a satisfactory standard of health suitable for nursing education and professional practice.
Successfully pass the programme admission interview.

Credit Transfer Note: Eligible applicants may be allowed a credit transfer of up to 50% of the total credits offered, subject to applicable university and accreditation requirements.
