In a dedicated effort to promote maternal and infant health, the students from IIUM Kuantan participated in the Program Karnival Kekal Sihat held at Klinik Kesihatan Kurnia on November 18, 2023. This collaborative initiative, conducted in partnership with Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Kuantan, aimed to emphasize the critical importance of breastfeeding in ensuring the well-being of both mothers and infants.

The group consisting of passionate students from Kullliyyah of Nursing, Kulliyyah of Pharmacy and Kulliyyah of Science , particularly those engaged in the Usrah in Action Course accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Mariam Muda and Dr. Amirah Fatin Ibrahim, took center stage at the event. Their focus was on championing the cause of breastfeeding as a crucial aspect of maternal and infant health. Through informative displays, engaging activities, and interactive sessions, the students sought to raise awareness about the manifold benefits of breastfeeding and its positive impact on the health and development of both mothers and infants. The venue at Klinik Kesihatan Kurnia provided an ideal setting for the delegates to interact with the community and disseminate valuable information. The collaborative effort underscored the commitment to advancing public health initiatives and enhancing community well-being.

This involvement reflects the KON Community’s dedication to making a positive impact on maternal and infant health through education, awareness, and community engagement. The Karnival Kekal Sihat served as a platform for the KON Community to contribute meaningfully to the broader healthcare landscape while fostering a sense of responsibility and community spirit among the participating students.
