The Kulliyyah of Nursing, IIUM celebrated a significant milestone with the successful execution of its student outbound mobility program, ā€œFrom Break to Strength: A Post-Fracture Awareness & Rehabilitation Journeyā€ , held at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

This program enabled Year 4 Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Elective Nursing students to broaden their horizons through international exposure and cross-cultural learning.

The event featured insightful lectures, including one titled ā€œAdvancing Orthopaedic Nursing in Community Care for Older Adults: Opportunities and Challenges in the Malaysian Context.ā€

Hands-on activities in rehabilitation, such as wound care, physical therapy support, and pain management, showcased the application of clinical knowledge in diverse settings.

Global Collaboration

This outbound mobility program not only addressed healthcare gaps in Indonesia but also encouraged knowledge exchange, advancing Sustainable Development Goals such as SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Led by a dedicated committee of students, supported by faculty advisors, the initiative engaged 100 participants , including healthcare professionals and community members.

An Ethical and Holistic Approach
