On 27 August 2026, the Minda Sihat, Jiwa Hebat Programme was conducted at SMA Al-Maarif, Felda Bukit Goh, Kuantan, involving 80 Form 2 students, in collaboration with the Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Programme Background and Purpose

The programme is part of the broader Program Murid Sihat & Selamat, which brings together school-based initiatives focusing on physical health and safety, as well as emotional well-being. This initiative builds on previous school-based programmes conducted under the same broader effort, including the Program Minda Sihat Jiwa Hebat at SMK Lepar Hilir 1 on 26 November 2025 and the Program Murid Sihat & Selamat: Pengenalan Asas Pertolongan Cemas at SK Pandan on 24 September 2025. Together, these initiatives reflect an ongoing commitment to strengthening students’ physical safety, emotional resilience, health awareness, and practical life-saving skills.

Interactive Emotional Care Skills

Through interactive activities, role-play and small-group sharing, students explored Emotional Care Skills—learning to recognise emotions, express feelings, practise empathy, support one another, and know when and where to seek help.

Students participating in emotional care skills activities

The programme reminded us that young people do not always need us to have all the answers. Sometimes, they simply need someone willing to listen, understand and guide them.

Meaningful student engagement and emotional support activities

Appreciation and Hope

Heartfelt appreciation to our Year 3 Nursing students, and to the teachers and students of SMA Al-Maarif for their enthusiasm, cooperation and meaningful participation.

Together, we hope to nurture young people who are emotionally stronger, kinder and more resilient.
