Surabaya, Indonesia, 20 November 2023. Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia in a meeting with the Rector of University of Hang Tuah, Surabaya, Indonesia agrees that maritime security benefits from promoting the integrity of the international law of the sea.
In a courtesy call to the Rector of the University of Hang Tuah, Prof Dr Supartono (Retired Rear Admiral), Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib expresses his appreciation of Prof Dr Supartono’s vast experience in the Indonesian Navy and thus his practical grasp of the international law of the sea and the international humanitarian law.
Prof Dr Supartono welcomes the observation and extends his willingness to share his expertise and experience on the related law which at the same time could further enhance the collaboration of both universities.
