Gombak, 11th May 2023. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), the IIUM Climate Change Policy and Law Centre (CCPL Centre) and Harun M. Hashim Law Centre with the support of the Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) Professional Fellows Programme (a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by the American Council for International Education) organise the International Symposium on Environmental and Climate Change Mediation in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the IIUM and AIKOL.

The project meeting and study visit are funded under the Erasmus+ towards the development of the postgraduate curricula on the climate change policy and law. The coordinator of the Centre is Assoc Prof Dr Maizatun Mustafa.

Gombak, 27 January 2023. Yayasan AmanahRaya (YAR) working together with Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), chooses three deserving undergrade students to receive the full financial assistance.

Tuan Hj Khairuddin bin Harun, representing the YAR presents the agreements and the first payment to the Kulliyyah for disbursement to the students under the Dermasiswa. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) as the foundation of the Dermasiswa was signed by Prof Datuk Dr Noor Inayah Ya’akub, the member of the Board of Trustee of AYR, and the and Emeritus Prof Tan Sri Datuk Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the Rector of IIUM on 16th November 2022.

Gombak, 18 January 2023. The Law Student’s Society is ready to work together with the Kulliyyah to identify the gaps in taking care the welfare of the student body, the achievement of the objective of academic programmes and relevancing the experience in the university.

Gombak, 4 January 2023. The management of AIKOL meets the outgoing committee members of Law Student’s Society to convey the appreciation of the Kulliyyah for their contributions in looking after the welfare of the student body and in assisting the Kulliyyah to achieve the shared vision of working towards just laws and just legal systems through harmonisation of Shariah and law, and championed by balanced graduates.

They visited the AIKOL Students Activities Centre to survey the upgrading done so far under the supervision of Assoc Prof Dr Mohd Yazid Zul Kepli, the Deputy Dean (Student Development and Community Engagement) and Pn Ozaliwati Omar, the Deputy Director at AIKOL.

Assoc Prof Dr Maizatun Mustafa leads as the Coordinator, the team under the Climate Change Policy and Law Centre (CCPLC) under the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws to the project meeting at the Marwadi University, Rajkot, India. The other members of the delegation are Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, Prof Dr Sharifah Zubaidah Syed Abdul Kader and Dr Wan Mohd Zulhafiz Wan Zahari. Gombak, 3 January 2023. As the well-being students and staff are utmost important to Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, the Kulliyyah continues to provide facilities towards that end. In this context, the Kulliyyah open the Expressive Arts Therapy Room situated at Level 3 of the AIKOL building to be used by students and staff. The room offers a calm and soothing place to use creative expression to unwind.

Gombak, 11th December 2022. The IIUM Moots and Client Consultation Club (MCCC) of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) had on 10th – 11th of December 2022 successfully organised the annual Ahmad Ibrahim Advocacy Competition for the year 2022 in International Islamic University Malaysia.

Gombak. 29 November 2022. International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Malaysia in collaboration with Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) on 25th – 27th of November 2022 had jointly organized the prestigious International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Role Play and Moot Competition for the year 2022 (National Round) at International Islamic University Malaysia.
