DSTU and the International Islamic University of Malaysia intend to establish cooperation.
MAKHACHKALA, October 7 – RIA “Dagestan”. A delegation from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, led by the rector of the university, Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, visited Daggostekhuniversitet. As the university press service informed the news agency, the guests got acquainted with the capabilities of DSTU and discussed the prospects for cooperation.
A round table was held at the university, during which the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of higher education and science, and also presented their vision of future partnership.
And about. DSTU Rector Nazim Balamirzoev, opening the event, noted: “We are pleased to welcome you to our university and the republic. Just a week ago, representatives of your university already visited DSTU, got acquainted with the material and technical base, educational and scientific processes, and the work of laboratories and centers. Our universities have similar areas and specialties, so we have a lot to learn from each other. I hope that today, during your visit, we will more accurately outline the vectors of future cooperation, especially for engineering specialties, since we are a technical university, including joint work on international grants and the development of academic mobility of students.”
According to Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, in the past Russia was not part of their vision for the university. “However, for 40 years we have tried to expand cooperation specifically with the Muslim world, in particular with the countries of the Middle East and Western Asia. The idea was to provide training opportunities for people who couldn’t afford it.
Now we are interested in cooperation with all countries, and Russia is certainly one of them. Representatives of more than a hundred nationalities from all over the world study with us. We look forward to cooperation with your university, which is why our university is represented here today by a whole delegation of management, deans and professors. We are interested in how you work with people, what approaches and methods you use, and how people interact with each other. We do not differentiate between Muslims and non-Muslims,” he stressed.
At the end of the round table, representatives of the International Islamic University of Malaysia were given a tour of the university’s locations.
Nazim Balamirzoev noted that work will begin in the near future to prepare a roadmap for future cooperation between the two universities.
